The Kromer 8241-03 (legacy number 7241-03) is a zero-gravity tool balancer for tools weighing 66-99 lb - for example spot-welding guns or assembly fixtures - and works equally with any other tool or fixture in that weight range. Constant retraction force means the tool floats weightless and stays exactly where the operator leaves it across the full 6.6 ft of cable travel, rather than being pulled back to a start position.

The 8241 is the heavy industrial frame: pressure-cast aluminium housing and drum, closed ball bearings on both sides, and an encapsulated suspension spring. A patented freewheel protects against overrotation when the spring is released, and a cable extension limit stop guards against cable overload. Kromer builds it with and without a manual lock.
