The Kromer 8230-04 (legacy number 7230-04) is a zero-gravity tool balancer for tools weighing 20-31 lb - for example larger nutrunners, drill units or small welding guns - and works equally with any other tool or fixture in that weight range. Constant retraction force means the tool floats weightless and stays exactly where the operator leaves it across the full 6.6 ft of cable travel, rather than being pulled back to a start position.

The 8230 is Kromer's plastic-housing industrial frame, load set by endless screw for fine adjustment. SpringProtector guards the spring during load adjustment, and the cable wedge sets working cable length anywhere within the cable's total length without changing the balancer's cable extension range. Order the Type 8231 instead if you need the ratchet lock that parks the tool at a set height.
