The Kromer 5200-02 is a tool retractor for tools weighing 2.2-4.4 lb - for example electric screwdrivers or small drivers - and works equally with any other tool in that weight range. A retractor is not a zero-gravity balancer: retraction force increases as the cable is pulled out, so the tool comes to hand easily and then returns to its initial position when released - keeping it off the bench and out of the way between operations.

The 5200 is the simplest unit in the Kromer retractor range - load is set with a handwheel and there is no locking mechanism.
