The Kromer 5200-01 is a tool retractor for tools weighing 1.1-2.6 lb - for example small screwdrivers or inspection tools - and works equally with any other tool in that weight range. A retractor is not a zero-gravity balancer: retraction force increases as the cable is pulled out, so the tool comes to hand easily and then returns to its initial position when released - keeping it off the bench and out of the way between operations.

The 5200 is the simplest unit in the Kromer retractor range - load is set with a handwheel and there is no locking mechanism.
